Bonsai is the Japanese art of cultivating plans into miniature forms of themselves. These dwarfed versions are created through careful management of roots, and selective pruning. These plants can be used in a  wide variety of artistic expressions, including creating mini worlds. Japanese artist Daisuke Nakajima has created a series of cliff side landscapes featuring bonsai. These detailed little landscapes feature waterfalls, and winding staircases that lead to majestic miniature views.
